Stephanie Kusie Sworn Into The House

Stephanie Kusie Officially Sworn in as MP for Calgary Midnapore

 

On May 3rd, 2017, Stephanie Kusie was sworn into the House of Commons. Stephanie Kusie was elected as the Member of Parliament for Calgary Midnapore on April 3rd.
Prior to politics, Stephanie served as Chargé d’Affaires for Canada to El Salvador and as Consul to Dallas, Texas for Canada promoting Canada’s interests and protecting Canadians abroad. She has a B.A. in Political Science from University of Calgary and an M.B.A. from Rutgers (a top 50 business school).
Stephanie served as Policy Advisor on Latin America to Minister Kent (former Minister of State for the Americas) and speaks English, French and Spanish.
She is married to the love of her life James and together, they have their pride and joy, Edward.
Stephanie ran for Calgary City Council in 2013 and although she did not win, she received close to 5000 votes and caught the eye of Preston Manning who asked her to take on his Municipal Governance Project and become the Executive Director of Common Sense Calgary.
Stephanie enjoys reading, traveling and fitness pursuits when she is not embroiled in the world of politics.
