Normalization of surveillance in Canada

All Canadians should be concerned about the normalization of surveillance in our country. Just last week, we learned that 13 federal departments went ahead and placed spyware on the devices of civil servants before completing the required privacy impact assessments. This means that personal information such as text messages, photos, search histories, and more can be accessed without their knowledge. What’s to stop the Liberal government from further infringing on the rights of Canadians? Conservatives won’t stand for this blatant invasion of privacy. Today, we supported a motion to bring those involved to ETHI Committee to explain themselves.
