Message to Constituents

Dear Constituents of Calgary Midnapore,

The sweet scent of lilac and apple blossoms are wafting across the riding, the grass is greening up, birds are singing, and everyone seems to be enjoying backyards, parks, and bike paths. Even though the political climate is tough at this time, I count my blessings – and living in this beautiful place is high on the list of things I am grateful for.

The recent Parliamentary break weeks were busy ones in the constituency. In addition to meetings, reviewing correspondence and briefings, I attended the inauguration of two new schools in Silverado; hosted a Canada-US Relations Roundtable with special guest  Shelby Kramp Neuman (MP Hastings—Lennox and Addington and Shadow Minister for Canada-US Trade); and celebrated a very special “blue sapphire” (65^th!) wedding anniversary with two wonderful constituents.

Now that Parliament has resumed, over the next three weeks Conservatives will remain focused on bringing down the cost of living for Canadians, (especially gas prices), fighting for your freedom and privacy (read on about Bill C-22…), advocating for pipelines, and working to improve the immigration system that the Liberals have spent ten years destroying.  

When the House of Commons rises for the summer, I will return to Calgary to celebrate Canada Day and the Calgary Stampede. I look forward to reconnecting with constituents at festivals, breakfasts, and BBQs across Calgary Midnapore. Be sure to say hello if you see me at any of these upcoming community events!

As the Liberals seek to stamp out our western way of life, I will do everything in my power to protect it. We have so much to be proud of as Albertans and there’s nowhere on Earth I would rather have been born and raised. I will continue to fight for a fair deal for Alberta, defend our values, and seek to uphold our forefathers’ vision of Canada:  peace, order, and good government. I take my Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office seriously (as all MPs should). Though the road ahead might be bumpy, I know we will navigate it together.
